The charity, which operates the last flying Avro Vulcan, has launched a new tax disc replacement sticker that allows enthusiasts to show their support for XH558 and raise awareness of the charity.<\/p>\n<p>The 85mm diameter sticker is available from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vulcantotheskystore.co.uk\">www.vulcantotheskystore.co.uk<\/a> and is currently reduced to just \u00a34 for a pack of three. \u201cThe death of the paper tax disc has created an unfamiliar gap on many windscreens. It seems fitting to replace one British icon with another,\u201d said Vulcan to The Sky Business Development Director, Michael Trotter. \u201cOur Tax Disc Replacement sticks to the inside of the windscreen just as a traditional tax disc holder would, but shows a spectacular air-to-air picture of the Vulcan surrounded by the legend \u2018Help Support the Spirit of Great Britain\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of a demanding 2015 for XH558 that includes The Royal International Air Tattoo on July 17<sup>th<\/sup>-19<sup>th<\/sup>, the aircraft is currently undergoing a winter service, which provides a perfect opportunity to visit her hangar at Robin Hood Airport, Doncaster to see the work in progress. \u201cRigorous maintenance is crucial to deliver another year of 100% technical availability,\u201d said Trotter. \u201cIt\u2019s a costly and demanding procedure that is carried out to a very high standard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Without government or RAF financial support, the Vulcan to The Sky Trust, which owns XH558, relies on fundraising and donations to raise the \u00a32.2 million that is required to keep the aircraft in the skies.
