I\u2019m a big admirer of Paul Beamish and his Krazy Horse operation. The Bury St Edmunds-based operation has five branches around the UK although its head office is in Suffolk<\/p>\n

Beamish is one of the UK\u2019s finest chopper builders and started out in 1985. The company has grown exponentially over those nearly 40 years and acts as agent for Morgan Motor Company, Caterham Cars, Indian Motorcycles and a whole phalanx of motorcycle brands.<\/p>\n

They have just been appointed as UK importer for the wonderful Microlino quadricycle, devised in Switzerland, built in Turin and inspired by the iconic Isetta \u2018bubble car.\u2019<\/p>\n

At just over 2.5 metres long, it\u2019s a definite rival to the Citro\u00ebn Ami, although is nearly 50 per cent more expensive.<\/p>\n

The entry-level model is the Microlino Lite, priced from \u00a316,950 and the diminutive 425kg device is powered by a 5.8kWh battery pack and conforms to L6 quadricycle rules meaning it can be driven by 16-year-olds in the UK, on a moped licence.<\/p>\n

The Microlino II costs from \u00a317,990 and features a larger 10.5kWh battery and has a range of 110 miles. It features a two-seat bench-type seat, a 230-litre boot, sliding fabric sunroof and even a tiny touchscreen that controls a digital gauge cluster.<\/p>\n

Customers can upgrade to a larger battery, giving a range increase to 142 miles, although this adds \u00a33500 to the bottom line.<\/p>\n
