They have been designed\u00a0for use across many applications including exhaust pipes, air intakes\u00a0and other flat surfaces that are exposed to extreme heat.<\/p>\n<p>Engineered to provide superior thermal performance, each metallic\u00a0piece can operate at temperatures up to 1000\u00b0C, achieves up to a 50 per cent\u00a0reduction in hot-to-cold surface temperatures and features Zircotec\u2019s\u00a0proven 6mm thick insulation core for added performance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Carinset2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29667\" src=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Carinset2-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The exhaust pipe heat shield is suitable for curved components and is available in four sizes. Large specs measure 50cm x 16cm and 25cm x\u00a016cm, medium dimensions are 25cm x 10cm, and small measures\u00a023cm x 6.5cm.<\/p>\n<p>The air intake heat shield protects cone filters from excessive heat,\u00a0therefore improving air intake efficiency and vehicle performance. It is\u00a0available as a universal size, but with three adjustable standoffs to\u00a0enable fitment to intake pipes with a diameter of between 63.5mm and\u00a089mm.<\/p>\n<p>The flat heat shield product can be used across various applications\u00a0where flat geometry is preferred. This piece is A4 size and measures\u00a031cm x 22cm. All pieces are supplied with stainless steel ties to aid\u00a0fitment.<\/p>\n<p>Dominic Graham, Zircotec\u2019s Engineering Manager, said: \u201cWe have been\u00a0supplying our bespoke, integral ZircoFlex\u00ae SHIELD technology to\u00a0Formula 1 teams and Supercar manufacturers for a number of years,\u00a0but the customisation process often presents barriers related to cost\u00a0and lead time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur new detachable range offers an \u2018off the shelf\u2019 heat shielding\u00a0solution that draws on similar thermal management technology but\u00a0eliminates the need for a bespoke design phase.
