It\u2019s been four years in development that has required some changes to meet modern standards. This mainly means a lowered rear roll-hoop and fitting modern brakes that do actually work unlike on the orange Mk1 I had in 1973 but look the same!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Otherwise, it is pretty much as was including its three-speed gear hub operated by a t-shifter handle. A variety of upgrades and spare parts are available some of which are compatible with the original Chopper.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two launch colours are available \u2013 Infrared and Ultraviolet \u2013 and the bike costs \u00a3950 (a bit different to the 36 quid that my dad paid for mine! \u2013 Raleigh reported that the first batch sold out within days but you can register your interest now via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.raleigh.co.uk\/\">www.raleigh.co.uk<\/a> <strong>ENDS.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>I did smile when I saw that bicycle brand Raleigh had re-launched their iconic Chopper.
