A brand new stripped-out track-orientated\u00a0model has recently been announced by XCS Designs. It\u2019s called the Clubsport and we\u2019ll let XCS Designs\u2019 boss Harvey Rice describe the car to you:<\/p>\n

“The 427\u00a0Clubsport package was conceived after looking at Cobra replicas in motorsport and the research\u00a0and development team at XCS has taken a ‘clean sheet’\u00a0approach and designed\u00a0a spaceframe chassis that allowed crash forces to be\u00a0correctly distributed around the driver, offering considerably\u00a0stronger\u00a0rollover and side impact protection. The added bonus is that the resulting\u00a0chassis has exceptional torsional\u00a0rigidity, which allows our camber\u00a0compensation set-up to work optimally.<\/p>\n

“Many have\u00a0shied away from taking this kind of car into a competitive arena due to its\u00a0inherent compromises.\u00a0I’m delighted to report that the new XCS 427 Clubsport\u00a0removes them all.”<\/p>\n

The Clubsport is available in several guises starting with a spaceframe\u00a0rolling chassis (excluding wheels and tyres)\u00a0at\u00a0\u00a339,000, a lightweight\u00a0two-piece GRP body at\u00a0\u00a35,500 or a factory-built\u00a0turnkey from \u00a398,000.<\/p>\n
