It\u00a0comes\u00a0from the talented\u00a0British-based, Polish designer, Zbigniew Dubiel\u00a0and is called the Navrot, named after a famous Polish car designer called\u00a0Cezary Nawrot\u00a0who designed the\u00a0Syrena Sport back in the late\u00a0fifties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zbigniew takes up the story:\u00a0\u201cWhile creating this design, the biggest challenge for me was to visually connect the new electric powertrain technology with the kitcar community without creating an overly futuristic, or extravagant\/extreme design.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Navrot_track03sUPDATED-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-26610\" src=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Navrot_track03sUPDATED-1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe whole idea to design and build this car came from the Polish investment company JJ Invest in the city of Lodz. The owner of the\u00a0company is very passionate about cars and simply wanted\u00a0to create something new, something fresh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAs I had worked on another project for\u00a0JJ Invest\u00a0before, they decided to invite me to work on the Navrot project as well. Although I professionally design mainly commercial vehicles; buses, small trucks, and rail vehicles, I love cars, and if there is an opportunity, I do it with love and passion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That&#8217;s what happened with the Navrot car. I was very hyped about this project from the very beginning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The idea of a sportscar that many can afford, build\u00a0themselves and then have\u00a0fun driving it without polluting the air. Amazing!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the beginning\u00a0Zbigniew\u00a0wanted the car to have similar proportions and an overall feel to the very iconic\u00a0Lotus Seven.\u00a0\u201cI am big admirer of the Lotus Seven, so naturally the iconic\u00a0shape was a great source of inspiration for this project,\u201d\u00a0he tells me.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zbigniew continued:\u00a0\u201cI wanted this car to have clean\u00a0and smooth exterior surfaces\u00a0and at the same time, I wanted it to look dynamic\u00a0and fast.\u00a0However,\u00a0I wanted it to be very simple, with a little bit of elegance.\u00a0My intention was for it\u00a0to look good on the track as well.\u00a0Another important aspect was to create styling that will attract a younger generation of driving enthusiasts.\u00a0I didn&#8217;t want it to feel too retro, I wanted it to give off a modern vibe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the beginning, the Navrot was designed\u00a0to be available in kit form\u00a0based around Mazda RX-8 (much like the new MEV RX).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Navrot_desert02s-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-26612\" src=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Navrot_desert02s-1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zbigniew told me:\u00a0\u201cIt was designed in a way, that it is intended to be a platform, which buyers can further use, to assemble in their very own\u00a0and unique way.\u00a0The idea was to let the buyer choose the electric motor, which will suit them most.\u00a0We wanted it to be a starting base for future buyers.\u00a0A very important part is the battery pack, which is located in the middle\u00a0of the car for greater balance and handling.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI finished the design in 2019. We had a solid idea for the exterior and interior. At the same time, the guys from JJ Invest hired a design engineer who created the entire platform including a tubular frame.\u00a0As the work was slowly progressing, the Covid19 pandemic abruptly halted the project at the beginning of 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unfortunately,\u00a0the project was never resumed\u00a0and the intended\u00a0prototype was never built.\u00a0According to Zbigniew, the owners of the\u00a0project\u00a0would like to see the\u00a0project available in kit form.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cHopefully, they can find a partner, who will help them build the\u00a0car.\u00a0As the designer of the car, I would love to see Navrot bringing joy to\u00a0future drivers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Find out more via\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dubieldesign.com\/\">www.dubieldesign.com<\/a>\u00a0ENDS.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>A very exciting\u00a0electric kitcar project\u00a0could\u00a0still\u00a0reach production\u00a0if\u00a0a partner\u00a0can be found.
