A couple of intriguing replicas that have been announced in recent months that definitely aren\u2019t going to be available in kit form come from Bentley Motors.<\/p>\n

The luxury maker has announced twelve continuation versions of their Bentley Mulliner Blower Continuation and also the Bentley Mulliner Speed Six Continuation.<\/p>\n

The Blower Series is a replica of the 4\u00bd-litre supercharged leviathan from 1929 with a version of the original four-cylinder Amherst Villiers Mk IV roots-type blower helping the engine to deliver 240bhp.<\/p>\n

Bentley Mulliner Blower Continuation Series<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The car is based on an as-original pressed steel frame with half-elliptic leaf springs, copy Bentley Draper dampers and copy Bentley Perrot 40cm mechanical brake drums.<\/p>\n

The second replica from Bentley is the 6\u00bd-litre Speed Six, the most successful racing Bentley that won Le Mans in 1929 and 1930. This one has a straight-six engine delivering around 200bhp good enough to take the Speed Six to a 125mph top speed.<\/p>\n

Bentley says that the cars are the world\u2019s first pre-war continuations and will source some parts from \u2018heritage specialists\u2019 around the UK.<\/p>\n
