Here\u2019s another great product from the nice people at Tenzi.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always been a bit scared of ceramic coatings. I am happy to use spray-on versions, but the coatings, they are a different kettle of fish. Get some of them wrong and it\u2019ll be like trying to remove concrete from your car\u2019s body.<\/p>\n

So, when Wojtek from Tenzi UK suggested I might like to try their new Quartz Coat Paint Protection kit, I was both curious and a bit apprehensive at the same time. However, I followed the instructions and ended up with a gleaming car.<\/p>\n

The box contains everything you need but assumes that you have a freshly washed and very clean car to start with. The package contains an IPA cleaner to help further decontaminate the car\u2019s surface and to degrease the paint.<\/p>\n

You then follow this with an application of the Quartz Coat itself but went on easily enough. I used the \u2018a few drops on the cloth and applicator\u2019 (supplied) method. You can also apply directly to the car\u2019s paintwork and work in.<\/p>\n

You need to diligently spread the coating over the panel \u2013 one at a time \u2013 with long, straight sweeps in one direction. You don\u2019t need any pressure on the applicator. You\u2019ll be able to see when the product has \u2018flashed\u2019 as it will leave long narrow streaks.<\/p>\n

Leave for five to fifteen minutes and remove with a clean microfibre in the opposite direction to application. Buffing to a mirror shine is simplicity itself.<\/p>\n

Tenzi advises that you leave the car in a dry environment for about three hours before applying a second coat. They recommend three coats and then to leave the product to properly harden for twelve hours before driving (certainly before it gets wet) and to leave it for two weeks before washing.<\/p>\n
