The new car is designed to go head-to-head with the Radical SR3 and PR6 models that currently dominate in Bikesports, yet is powered by a more cost-effective 1000cc engine compared to the 1300+cc Hayabusa engine of the Radicals.

The new Mittell model follows on from the father and son-run company’s successes in various 750MC formulae; starting with the duo’s self-developed Locost Championship win in 2011.

The first car designed in-house was 2012’s MC-51 as raced in the RGB Sports 1000 Championship. This was replaced by the MC-52 in 2013 using lessons learnt from the MC-51, with the second offering securing its first pole positions in 2013 and first race wins in 2014, before winning the overall 2015 championship.

The MC-53 was released in 2016 with various sales for new drivers in the RGB Sports 1000 Championship, and with older models still proving competitive, Mittell models now make up a significant percentage of the grid.

MC-53 models have since finished 2nd in the championship in 2017 and 2018, taking twelve victories and numerous lap record along the way; most notably lapping Brand Hatch Indy circuit in 47.9 seconds and taking the company’s first 1-2-3 podium lockout at Silverstone last season.

Speaking of the announcement, Scott Mittell said: “We have really enjoyed the challenge of designing and building a car for the Bikesports category, with the extra aerodynamic freedom compared to the RGB Sports 1000 cars we have built previously.”

– The 2019 Bikesports Championship calendar is as follows:

Rounds 1 & 2 – Donington Park GP – 22nd April

Rounds 3 & 4 – Silverstone National – 4th May

Rounds 5,6 & 7 – Anglesey Coastal – 15th/16th June

Rounds 8, 9 & 10 – Silverstone International – 10th/11th August

Rounds 11 & 12 – Oulton Park – 14th Sept

Rounds 13 & 14 – Snetterton 300 – 12th October

More from www.mittell-cars.comor www.750mc.co.uk ENDS.

The fourth model from motorcycle-powered sports-racing car manufacturer Mittell Cars is set to be revealed on the 750 Motor Club stand at the 2019 Autosport […]

[2

post-16276","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
