A new name in cars maybe but they\u2019ve produced literally thousands of industrial vehicles such as electric delivery trikes, like the DXP, used extensively by the Swiss postal service, over the years.<\/p>\n<p>Three versions of eRod are available \u2013 Basic, Fun and Race with estimated ranges between charges of 43-, 80- and 137-miles, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/news_erod_2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-13991\" src=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/news_erod_2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a mix of Lotus Seven and exo-skeletal car in the eRod and the car is underpinned by a tube-steel spaceframe<\/p>\n<p>Seemingly all things electric, in car terms, means it\u2019s probably pricier than you think. Comprehensive eRod kits cost \u00a332,000 but do include everything you need to complete a build.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/news_erod_3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-13992\" src=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/news_erod_3-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fully built examples, produced in the Freienstein-Teufen factory, in Switzerland but assembled by the UK division in Milton Keynes, will cost from \u00a338,000. The car weighs in at 600kg and features a 19.2 kWh battery pack (equal to about 60bhp) with a top speed of 75mph.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll have a feature on the eRod very soon, so watch this space for more information.
