HRH The Princess Royal visited Garforth-based Ginetta this week to begin celebrations of the marque\u2019s 60th anniversary year.\u00a0The marque has been building sportscars since 1958.<\/p>\n

HRH, The Princess Royal,\u00a0 Princess Anne, visited Ginetta Cars this week to help commence their sixtieth anniversary celebrations<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Princess enjoyed a tour with Ginetta and LNT Group Chairman, Lawrence Tomlinson.\u00a0She saw each stage of car design and build across the whole Ginetta range. Commencing in the research and design facility, Her Royal Highness\u00a0was guided through the factory, specifically viewing the construction of the latest Ginetta prototypes, including the G58 and recently launched G60-LT-P1 ranges.<\/p>\n

During the tour, The Princess was shown how the components of all the Ginetta range are crafted and tested on-site, observing 3D printing, spending time in the carbon-fibre manufacturing department and witnessing engine-dyno tests first hand.<\/p>\n

Her Royal Highness met Ginetta team members from across the business during the tour, from CAD designers to engine technicians as well as the Ginetta factory drivers and a representative from the Young Driver Development Programme.\u00a0Seeing how Ginetta was developing skills and nurturing young talent, The Princess Royal was given an insight into what makes this Yorkshire brand tick.<\/p>\n

The tour finished with a showcase of Ginetta\u2019s roots as she admired the heritage collection before she unveiled a commemorative plaque to celebrate the start of the company\u2019s sixtieth anniversary year. Taking prominent position beneath the plaque was the G60-LT-P1, Ginetta\u2019s newly launched LMP1 car.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone who met HRH today has seen her keen interest and impressive technical understanding of our cars.\u00a0We are all left invigorated and ready to take Ginetta to new heights.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year, Ginetta will be challenging for an overall podium win at this year\u2019s 24 Heures du Mans in the G60-LT-P1.\u201d<\/p>\n
