Actually, more like the year of the Porsche Boxster-based Speedster.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/news_DNA_1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-13599\" src=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/news_DNA_1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Latest entrant into that market is DNA Automotive and the Redditch company plans to unveil their first demo car at Stoneleigh next May.<\/p>\n<p>The 386 will be based on either 986 (Mk1) with the 387 using 987 (Mk2) Boxster.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/news_DNA_2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-13600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/news_DNA_2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>DNA\u2019s boss, Brian Hale told me that it won\u2019t be available in kit form but fully-built examples will cost from around \u00a335,000 plus donor \u2013 allow about \u00a35000 for a 986 or around \u00a38000 for a 987.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/news_DNA_3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-13601\" src=\"https:\/\/www.totalkitcar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/news_DNA_3-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Unlike some of the other Boxster-based kits that have used the donors quite tall and upright windscreen, DNA is having screens specially-made so as to give the period-correct Speedster look.<\/p>\n<p>More on this one in coming months.
