Seal heel nibble can occur during braking when, in conjunction with ABS, pressure is built up earlier in the seal travel, before it has travelled over the cut-off port. This leads to ‘heel nibble’ where the seal is partially extruded up the cut-off port.

CP6467

This new ‘pull type’ trunnion mounted cylinder is more efficient than conventional type master cylinders and is designed for use in ABS and high pressure applications. It features an aluminium alloy body and a centre valve configuration which helps to improve cylinder performance and seal durability. Suitable for most brake and clutch applications, the cylinder also features a special ‘plug-in’ inlet connection that can be swaged directly to a dash 4 size hose.

The CP6467 also features a patent-pending system that is designed to greatly reduce ‘knock back’. This optional feature can be removed by substituting a sleeve for the AKB Plug. A choice of nine bore sizes are available.

CP9093

This new compact flange-mounted ‘push type’ master cylinder with centre valve configuration replaces AP Racing’s CP6093 family which is no longer available.

Featuring a forged aluminium alloy body, the cylinder is designed for imperial hydraulic threads and is suitable for use in ABS and high pressure applications, and for most brake and clutch applications. A choice of eight bore sizes are available.

CP7198

This new compact flange-mounted ‘push type’ master cylinder is of similar design to the CP9093, but features metric hydraulic threads.

It is again suitable for rear for most brake and clutch applications, and is for ABS and high pressure applications. A choice of eight bore sizes are available.

CP6468

AP Racing has also introduced a new ‘pull type’ cylinder is that is similar to AP Racing’s CP6565 type, which has a built-in trunnion mounted in needle roller bearings for direct mounting to the balance bar. However, the CP6468 is designed to be mounted through a spherical bearing.

It again features an aluminium alloy body, and a low profile inlet and outlet. The cylinder also features a special ‘plug-in’ inlet connection that can be swaged directly to a dash 4 size hose. A choice of five bore sizes are available.

AP Racing’s Master Cylinders

All of AP Racing’s master cylinders have been developed with the benefit of unparalleled experience in racing brake technology, to respond to the severe demands encountered under competition conditions. The current range of lightweight aluminium alloy master cylinders comprises 12 designs suitable for all forms of competition use.

Each master cylinder is individually shimmed during manufacture to give a shorter cut off, and less lost travel then equivalent production cylinders.

The new additions to AP Racing’s master cylinder range will available from regional distributors from March 2017, while product information and technical guidance is available direct from AP Racing, though the technical department on 02476 639 595 or via www.apracing.com ENDS.

AP Racing, the leading manufacturer of performance braking and clutch systems for road and race use, is introducing of new range of centre valve […]

[2

post-11287","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
